Una oleada de actividad diplomática y reuniones entre los archirrivales regionales Arabia Saudita e Irán señalan un cambio en la postura geopolítica de Riad, mientras las tensiones regionales siguen aumentando y un nuevo presidente estadounidense busca poner fin a las guerras de Israel en Gaza y Líbano.
El jefe del Estado Mayor de Arabia Saudita, general Fayyad al-Ruwaili, se reunió el domingo en Teherán con su homólogo iraní, el general Mohammed Bagheri, y ambos hablaron sobre el fortalecimiento de los vínculos en materia de defensa. Si bien esto puede indicar una profundización de los vínculos entre Arabia Saudita e Irán, dos expertos sugieren un panorama más complicado.
