House panel advances bipartisan Saudi sanctions bill over Khashoggi murder

The House Foreign Affairs Committee unanimously advances a bill that would sanction Saudis involved in the Jamal Khashoggi slaying.

Congress made significant headway today on its long-awaited response to the Jamal Khashoggi murder in the form of Saudi sanctions legislation.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee voted unanimously today to advance the Saudi Arabia Human Rights and Accountability Act, introduced by Rep. Tom Malinowski, D-N.J.
