Egypt and Sudan are holding joint military exercises that will run until Nov. 26, the latest indication of deepening military ties between the two neighbors sharing the Nile.
Units from Egypt's air force and Saiqa (Thunderbolt) commando forces arrived at Sudan's Lt. Gen. Awad Khalafallah Air Base in Merowe, northern Khartoum, to start the joint military exercises Nov. 14, the Egyptian army said.
