The World Government Summit in Dubai saw world leaders from the public and private sectors gather on Monday to discuss how effective governance can shape economies amid the current global downturn.

The four-day event, which began Sunday, saw senior technology company executives and government leaders gather to find solutions on how governments can better work with societies to prosper during difficult times.

This included the role of technology in creating opportunities, with celebrities such as Black-Eyed Peas singer and tech-philanthropist will.i.am. describing new tools such as the recently released intelligence chatbot ChatGPT as potentially “fruitful."

“It’s exciting times when it comes to generative AI,” he said, but he noted that government, private and societal cooperation would need to take place to override algorithmic biases and make the technology useful for job creation.
