COVID-19 patients in the United Arab Emirates and the medical workers caring for them do not need to fast during the holy month of Ramadan, religious authorities in the Gulf country said late Sunday.
"If a doctor asks a person not to fast as it might affect his immunity, then the person has the right not to fast during Ramadan," said the Emirates Fatwa Council.
