Saudi Arabia’s busiest airport, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, saw widespread flight cancellations and delays on Tuesday amid increasing attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels on the kingdom’s main aviation hubs.

As of 6 p.m. local time (11 a.m. EST), 182 flights had been canceled, accounting for 23% of scheduled flights, while 255, or 32%, had been delayed, according to Flightradar24.

The flight-tracking website showed no departures after a Jazeera Airways flight to Kuwait City took off at 3:34 p.m. local time. The last recorded arrival was a Badr Airlines flight from Port Sudan, which landed at 5:54 p.m.

Al-Monitor has contacted the airport for comment.
