JERUSALEM — Just five months after it launched, Naftali Bennett’s Together party is sagging in the polls, no longer the apparent frontrunner.
Bennett's alliance with prominent secularists has broadened Together’s coalition but weakened his ability to resonate with the right-wing voters he needs to peel away from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Surveys over the past week project that Together will win between 13 and 15 Knesset seats, compared with 23 to 25 for Yashar, another opposition party led by former military chief Gadi Eisenkot. Israeli political sources predict that trend will continue.
