Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala, saw its investments surge by a third in 2024, driven by a rise in deals in North America, private equity and artificial intelligence.

Mubadala made 119 billion Emirati dirhams ($32.4 billion) worth of investments in 2024, up 33.7% from 89 billion dirhams ($24.23 billion) the previous year, according to a Thursday statement from the UAE fund.

In 2024, the fund saw its assets under management grow to 1.2 trillion Emirati dirhams ($330 billion), up 9.1% from the previous year.

Mubadala’s 2024 portfolio mix was broadly consistent with 2023, the company said, with 40% in private equity, 23% in public markets and 17% in infrastructure and real estate.
