Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah Tuesday that if the group were to declare war against Israel, "We will return Lebanon to the Stone Age."

Israel Defense Forces leaders are pushing to resume mediated negotiations for the removal of a tent set up by Hezbollah four months ago in the Mount Dov region on the border with Lebanon, Israel's Army Radio revealed on Wednesday.

Army Radio reported that Israel had sent messages to Hezbollah via unnamed mediators, calling to renew talks on removing the tent as well as armed Hezbollah militants from the region.

At the beginning of May, Hezbollah set up two tents housing armed militants at the Israel-controlled Mount Dov region, located beyond the UN-demarcated Blue Line, breaching the UN-mandated border. While Israel and Lebanon do not have an agreed-upon border due to territorial disputes, the two countries largely respect the Blue Line.
