Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces have escalated attacks after suffering setbacks more than three years into the civil war.
Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces launched a swarm of drones toward the capital Khartoum on Thursday for a second day in a row, as the group escalates its attacks against Sudanese Armed Forces-controlled areas across the country.
What happened: SAF air defenses intercepted several RSF drones over northern and western Omdurman, about 12 kilometers (7 miles) northwest of Khartoum, according to local reports.
