Damage from Iran’s attack on Israel: What we know
Some Israeli bases sustained light damage, according to reports, while Iran hailed the attack as a success.
The Israeli military said on Wednesday that there was some damage from Iran’s missile attack, including near security installations.
What we know: The military acknowledged some of its air bases were hit, noting damage to office buildings and maintenance areas. No aircraft, critical infrastructure or weapons were damaged, according to Israeli media reports.
The Wall Street Journal reported that there was largely minor damage to dozens of houses and civilian infrastructure in central Israel and to a few military bases. A missile hit a road outside the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad, while another projectile exploded near a school and a missile blast damaged around 100 houses in Hod Hasharon north of Tel Aviv. The Nevatim base in the Negev Desert sustained minor damage, while two fallen missiles were found near Dimona, the site of Israel’s nuclear facilities, according to the outlet.
Israeli media reported that a religious school in the central city of Gedera was hit by a missile and sustained significant damage.
