Yossi Yonah is an Israeli academic and politician. He has served as a Knesset member for both the Zionist Union and Labor. Yonah taught political philosophy and philosophy of education at Ben Gurion University of the Negev and was a senior research fellow in the Van Leer Institute. Prior to entering politics, he was active in various civil society organizations seeking reconciliation with the Palestinians or promoting social justice. In 2011, he was one of the top advisers to the social justice protest movement. Yohan has written extensively on moral and political philosophy, philosophy of education and multiculturalism, and is the author of the recently published book "Tel Aviv - Ramallah."
