Independent Media Initiative Workshop in Doha, Qatar

In partnership with the Qatar Leadership Centre and Media City Qatar, Al-Monitor and Semafor hosted a hands-on journalism workshop in Doha for university students in December of 2025. From conflict reporting and interviewing to AI tools, pitching stories, social media, and starting a podcast, students gained practical skills through the Independent Media Initiative to chase stories and shape the future of media.
