Donald Trump earned more than $1.4 billion from his family’s crypto ventures last year, including around $810 million from a UAE-backed firm, according to the US president’s annual financial disclosure released Tuesday.

What happened: The 927-page disclosure for 2025, released by the US Office of Government Ethics, showed cryptocurrency to be Trump’s largest source of income last year, dwarfing his earnings from real estate and legal settlements.

According to the disclosure, Trump earned more than $550 million from crypto token sales through UAE-backed World Liberty Financial, which was established in September 2024 by Trump’s sons and the sons of US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, with the president listed as “co-founder emeritus.” His earnings from WLF token sales last year were more than nine times the amount disclosed for 2024, when he reported more than $57 million from the venture.

The filings also showed that Trump made another $260 million from the sale of interests in WLF.
