China and the United Arab Emirates will hold a new round of joint air force training in the UAE next week, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense announced on Friday, in the latest sign of deepening defense ties between the two countries.

Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin said Falcon Shield 2025 will take place in the Arab Gulf country on Dec. 9-22, without specifying the exact location.

The exercises will help the Chinese and Emirati militaries strengthen mutual learning and cooperation, Jiang added.
