Yemen: Flash floods injure 10+ in Aden as climate toll mounts
Yemen has experienced deadly flooding in recent years, further impacting the ongoing displacement crisis in the country.
Flash floods injured nearly a dozen people in southwest Yemen on Tuesday, according to reports, as the climate crisis in the war-torn country worsens.
What happened: An official from Yemen’s internationally recognized government told China’s official news agency, Xinhua, that flash floods injured at least 10 people in the port city of Aden. Turkey’s official news agency, Anadolu, reported that several people were injured.
Images on social media showed heavy flooding in the city.
