Trump nominates ambassadors to Lebanon, Kuwait and Morocco: What to know

President Donald Trump has nominated ambassadors to Lebanon, Kuwait, Morocco and Tunisia. Three of the four appointees are Arab Americans.

Trump announced three of the picks — Michel Issa as ambassador to Lebanon, Amer Ghalib as ambassador to Kuwait and Duke Buchan III as ambassador to Morocco — on his Truth Social platform on Friday. Trump announced the nomination of Bill Bazzi as ambassador to Tunisia on Tuesday.

Trump’s pick for ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, is a prominent Lebanese-American businessman. Issa is a personal friend and golfing partner of Trump's, one insider told L’Orient Today.
