Syria accused Israel of carrying out more airstrikes on Wednesday inside its territory, pointing to the continuation of attacks following the deal with Hamas to pause fighting in Gaza.

Syria’s official news outlet SANA reported that two Israeli missiles reached unspecified areas outside of Damascus. Syrian air defenses downed one of the missiles, while the other caused material damage, according to the outlet.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported two separate Israeli attacks. Israeli strikes targeted positions and warehouses of Iran-backed militias between Muadamyat Al Qalamon and Al Qutayfah, northeast of Damascus, according to the war monitor.

Later on Wednesday, the observatory reported new Israeli airstrikes targeted a “farm” belonging to the Lebanese group Hezbollah between Al-Bahdaliyah and Sayyidah Zaynab, southeast of Damascus, as well as unspecified targets near the Damascus airport.
