Reuters journalist killed, 6 wounded in Israeli shelling on Lebanon border

A Reuters video journalist has been killed and three others were wounded in the Israeli airstrike in the village of Alma al Shaab in southern Lebanon.

Reuters video journalist Issam Abdallah has been killed and several colleagues were wounded after their press vehicle was reportedly hit by an Israeli airstrike in the village of Alma al Shaab, located in southern Lebanon on the border between the two countries.

The news wire confirmed the story on Friday in a statement.

"We are deeply saddened to learn that our videographer, Issam Abdallah, has been killed," the statement read.

"We are urgently seeking more information, working with authorities in the region, and supporting Issam’s family and colleagues," Reuters added.
