Dozens of countries including France, Ukraine, Canada evacuate citizens from Israel

The fighting between Israel and Hamas has left more than 2,000 people dead, including foreigners from Europe, Asia, the United States and Latin America.

Several countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia are evacuating their citizens from Israel and the Palestinian territories as Israel-Hamas war escalates and approaches its sixth day. 

More than 2,000 Israelis and Palestinians have been killed so far, and foreigners from more than 25 countries have been impacted in the fighting. Further complicating matters, dozens of international airlines have suspended flights to Israel in response to the war.

In this context, at least 27 countries have started or are planning to evacuate citizens from Israel. The following is a breakdown of the responses.
