The state-owned Kuwait Oil Company said there was an oil leakage in an unspecified location in western Kuwait, prompting authorities to declare a state of emergency. The incident caused some injuries to personnel. No poisonous gas was detected and oil production was unaffected, the official Kuwait News Agency reported.
A video posted by the Kuwaiti news outlet Al Rai showed a black liquid squirting out of the ground.
