At least 2 killed in Jerusalem vehicle attack

A 6-year-old boy and a young man were killed Friday afternoon when a Palestinian man drove his car into a crowded bus stop in East Jerusalem.

A 6-year-old child and a man in his 20s were killed Friday afternoon in a vehicular attack outside an Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem. At least five other people were injured.

The assailant was identified as Hossein Karaka, resident of the east Jerusalem Issawiya neighborhood. According to preliminary reports, Karaka drove his vehicle into a bus stop on the outskirts of the Ramot settlement where several people were waiting, including children on their way home from school. An off-duty police officer on the scene and another officer who quickly arrived shot and killed the assailant.
