UAE offers corporate tax orientation as implementation nears

The Gulf state decided last year to start taxing business profits and the new tax will go into effect this June.

The United Arab Emirates' Finance Ministry will hold its first public awareness session on the upcoming corporate tax on Monday. 

The ministry is holding a series of “UAE Corporate Tax Public Awareness Sessions” throughout the Emirates and virtually in English and Arabic through Feb. 20. The purpose of the sessions is to “to engage with the public and the business community to raise awareness of corporate tax and provide an overview of the key features of the law,” the ministry said on its website.
