Saudi Arabia signs drone development deal with telecom giant

The Kuwaiti company has a drone subsidiary and the new partnership could help Saudi Arabia further diversify its economy away from oil.

Saudi Arabia signed an agreement today on developing drone technology with a leading regional telecommunications company.

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology signed the memorandum of understanding with Zain Saudi Arabia. The two will work on research and development of drone systems, the official Saudi Press Agency reported.
