Dozens of US foreign policy veterans and three top Israeli generals are voicing support for President Joe Biden’s pick to lead the Pentagon’s policy office, Colin Kahl, as opposition to his confirmation mounts from Republican-aligned groups.
“Just as we are confident that Dr. Kahl is committed to the US-Israel relationship, we also know he has never wavered in his effort to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran,” reads a letter signed by 51 experts addressed to leadership of the Senate Armed Services committee.
