Yet again, the week’s big headlines concern Turkey. The Houthis appear to be clobbering Saudi-backed government forces in Yemen, making it ever more likely that the Iran-backed militants will be positioned to effectively block the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, much as Iran is doing with Hormuz. So, will Turkey and Pakistan step up and rescue Riyadh in line with their Mecca pact commitments?
