Al-Monitor Israel: Israeli strike leak undermines Netanyahu

Welcome back to Al-Monitor Israel.

During a recent White House visit, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to convince President Donald Trump to green-light an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear plants, according to a New York Times report. 

But the Israeli premier was rebuffed, as the US president announced direct talks with Tehran on the latter's nuclear program. It seems that Israel has been left with little persuasive power over the outcome of the US-Iran talks and is further reeling from the unprecedented leak to the Times of Israel's operational plans.
