Turkey and Greece's intelligence chiefs hold rare talks: What to know

The top intelligence officials from Turkey and Greece recently met in Athens, the Turkish public broadcaster confirmed on Friday, marking a potential easing of tensions between the two regional rivals.
What happened: Ibrahim Kalin, director of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization, held talks last week with his Greek counterpart, Themistoklis Demiris, in the Greek capital.
The two discussed bilateral relations and ways to address various issues in the Mediterranean region, specifically mentioning NATO, terrorism, crime and irregular migration, reported TRT Haber, a sub-channel of the public broadcaster, the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation.
The talks additionally covered the US-Iran war, Gaza, Libya, Lebanon, and Syria, according to the report.
