Iran strikes Gulf again, hitting Kuwait refinery as UAE shuts gas hub
Kuwait’s desalination plant and key refinery have been damaged, and the UAE has suspended Habshan operations after debris from intercepted missiles caused a fire.
Gulf states said Friday they faced fresh Iranian strikes on critical infrastructure, including a desalination plant in Kuwait, while debris from intercepted missiles near a major gas complex in the United Arab Emirates forced a shutdown.
Iran has been carrying out repeated strikes on Gulf energy and infrastructure since the war began Feb. 28.
Kuwait strikes: Kuwait’s Health Ministry said Friday that Iranian strikes wounded several people in the country, without elaborating.
Among the targets was a desalination plant, according to Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
