Saudi Arabia’s minister of investment, Khalid Al-Falih, arrived in China on Sunday, heading a senior delegation of government officials and leading business figures during a multiday visit.

The visit, running through Friday, includes high-level meetings with senior Chinese officials and investors across multiple cities, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.

In Shanghai, discussions will center on opportunities in the industrial and petrochemical value chains, while talks in Beijing will highlight financial partnerships and cooperation with Chinese state-owned enterprises, SPA noted. The visit also includes stops at major industrial facilities in Hong Kong.

It's part of a broader framework of cooperation outlined in the Saudi-Chinese High-Level Joint Committee, which in late May held its fifth meeting. The committee aims to align Saudi-Chinese development strategies and enhance cooperation between the two countries in investment, finance, communications and more.
