AI chips, drones, jets: A look at Trump's $3.2 trillion megadeals during Gulf trip

Amid photo ops and lavish receptions, President Donald Trump’s Gulf trip yielded $3.2 trillion in announced deals with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE — though some details remain vague.

US President Donald Trump wrapped up his four-day visit to the Gulf on Friday after announcing more than $3.2 trillion in expanded trade and investment agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

He began the foreign tour in Riyadh on Tuesday, followed by Doha on Wednesday and the United Arab Emirates on Thursday before returning to Washington Friday. Although security issues like the war in Gaza, Syria’s recovery and Iran’s nuclear program were part of the agenda, announcing megadeals and investment into USA Inc. were clearly Trump’s priority.

UAE

On Friday in Abu Dhabi, Trump announced more than $200 billion in deals between the United States and the UAE, including a $14.5 billion order for Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways for 28 Boeing jets with General Electric engines, according to the White House. The White House earlier said the planes would consist of Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft, but did not specify the exact numbers of each type.
