Thousands in Egypt protest Trump’s push to transfer Palestinians

Trump’s recent comments on sending Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan have put the Egyptian and Jordanian leadership on edge and sparked protests among Egyptian civilians.

Thousands of Egyptians gathered at the Rafah border crossing with Egypt on Friday in protest of US President Donald Trump’s proposal to displace Palestinians to Egypt. 

Photos and videos circulated on social media showing Egyptians at the Rafah border crossing, the sole point of entry between Gaza and Egypt, waving Egyptian and Palestinian flags.
