Qatari emir in Germany to boost economic ties
According to the German chancellery, Scholz will host the emir at Meseberg Castle, with the meeting focusing on deepening energy, trade and regional security ties.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will be hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday at a palace just north of Berlin for talks to deepen political and economic ties.
Sheikh Tamim left Rome earlier on Tuesday where he met Italian President Sergio Mattarella. The emir was accompanied by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and an official delegation, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

Qatari Energy Minister Saad Al-Kaabi and head of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Mansoor Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud will also attend the meeting.
