Uber's Gulf delivery bet

On July 16, the US ride-hailing giant announced a $14.8 billion takeover offer for Germany’s Delivery Hero, a blockbuster deal that would hand the US firm control of Gulf delivery heavyweight Talabat as well as Saudi Arabia’s HungerStation.
