BEIRUT — Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdulrahman bin Hathloul Al-Dosari, presented a copy of his credentials on Wednesday to Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, as he assumed his new post at a time when the kingdom is recalibrating its role in the Mediterranean country following years of strained ties.
During their meeting, Rajji wished the new ambassador success in his diplomatic duties, expressing his readiness to work closely with him to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
Who is Riyadh's new envoy?
Saudi Arabia appointed Al-Dosari as its new ambassador to Lebanon in early May. He arrived in Beirut last Friday, replacing Ambassador Walid bin Abdullah Bukhari who had held the position since December 2018.
