Record Israeli arms exports highlight global rush for air defense
Rocket and air defense systems sales accounted for 29% of Israel's defense exports in 2025.
Israeli arms exports reached a record high for the fifth consecutive year in 2025, surging nearly 30% to more than $19 billion, driven by strong demand for missile, rocket and air defense systems, the Defense Ministry announced Tuesday.
The record exports come as Israel's defense industry has operated on a wartime footing since October 2023, while recent conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East have fueled demand for air defense, missile interception and other battlefield technologies.
Details: In a statement, the ministry said that growth was led by missile, rocket and air defense systems sales, accounting for 29% of total export deals. Observation and optronics systems made up 22%, followed by radar and electronic warfare at 11%.
Manned aircraft and avionics accounted for 11%, C4I and communication systems for 7%, weapon stations and launchers for 6%, drones and UAVs for 4%, and satellites and space systems for 3%.
