Israeli stocks tumble as military launches Gaza City offensive

Israeli troops are now stationed on the outskirts of Gaza City ahead of an imminent ground operation, a spokesperson for the Israeli military said Tuesday morning.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said upon arrival to court Tuesday for his graft trial that Israel “has begun an intensive operation in Gaza City." He requested to be excused from his regularly scheduled testimony due to the “important things happening.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz posted on X early Tuesday morning, "Gaza is burning," adding, "We will not relent and we will not go back until our mission is complete."
