Egypt's Sisi, Saudi crown prince discuss Red Sea, Gaza, trade in Neom

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for an official visit, with discussions expected to focus on regional security and economic cooperation.

The visit comes upon the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, a statement by the Egyptian presidency said on Thursday.

Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with Crown Prince Mohammed in the futuristic city of Neom, located in Tabuk province on Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast.

According to the presidency statement, the two officials will discuss "ways to support and strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, with the aim to achieve common interests at various political, economic and development levels."
