Israel calls Iran's hospital missile strike war crime, vows escalation
Israeli officials have condemned the Iranian strike at a hospital as a war crime and vowed to intensify its attacks against Iran.
Israeli officials condemned an Iranian missile attack on a hospital in southern Israel Thursday, calling it a war crime and vowing a harsh response as the two countries continue to trade blows for a seventh day.
Early on Thursday, the Iranian military launched a fresh barrage of missiles at Israel. One directly struck the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba in the southern Negev desert.
The Israeli Health Ministry said at least 271 people were injured in the attack, 71 of them at the medical center.
The hospital, one of Israel’s largest, serves the entire Negev area.
