Iran, Russia, China envoys present joint front to Grossi on nuclear talks
As the US-Iran nuclear negotiations progress, Iran, Russia and China presented a united front in a meeting with the international nuclear watchdog chief in Vienna.
The Iranian, Russian and Chinese ambassadors to the United Nations met with the nuclear watchdog chief on Thursday in Vienna.
What happened: Iranian Ambassador Reza Najafi, Chinese Ambassador Li Song and Russian Ambassador Mikhail Ulyanov met with Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi. They stressed the need for cooperation amid the Iran-US nuclear talks as well as the “opportunity for the International Atomic Energy Agency to play a professional and constructive role in this regard,” according to Iranian semi-official news agency Mehr.
The envoys reportedly also delivered a joint letter to Grossi on the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program.
