Iran promises response 'beyond imagination' to Israeli strikes even as deal looms
A month after Israel's Oct. 26 strikes on Iran, Iranian officials are ramping up discussions of a response to the attack.
Exactly a month after Israel launched its retaliatory strikes on Iran in response to Iran’s Oct. 1 ballistic missile attack on Israel, Iran is growing more vocal about a possible response to Israel, even with a Hezbollah-Israel cease-fire imminent.
Throughout November, Iran’s rhetoric had seemed to cool, but now, with a cease-fire between Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israel increasingly likely, Iran has turned the heat back up.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri promised a fierce response to Israel’s Oct. 26 strikes on Iran.
Iran’s response will be “beyond imagination,” Baqeri said during a meeting in Tehran with Iran's top military commanders on Tuesday, according to the state news agency IRNA.
