DUBAI — Shared anxieties over the rapidly changing regional and global political landscape, a new Trump administration as well as ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral trade, economic and military ties dominated a meeting of the Saudi and Indian foreign ministers on Tuesday.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with his Indian counterpart, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, during a two-day visit to New Delhi.

"We would have an opportunity to also talk about the G20 BRICS, the IMEC [India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor], and other regional and global issues," Jaishankar said at the inaugural meeting of the Saudi-India Strategic Partnership Council.

"It is clear from our discussions which we have so far, which we expect to continue, that we have a similar interest in preserving the stability of the region and in running our economies towards greater prosperity," he added.
