In Oman visit, Ukraine FM calls for food hub to boost Africa trade
Ukraine’s top diplomat will visit Egypt and other African countries after Oman amid the ongoing war with Russia.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha visited Oman on Wednesday on the first stop of a regional tour aimed at building support for Ukraine’s peace plan and called for the creation of a food hub in the Gulf state.
Sybiha met his Omani counterpart, Badr Albusaidi, in Muscat to discuss Ukraine’s “Peace Formula” for ending the war with Russia. Sybiha thanked Oman for supporting Ukraine’s “sovereignty and territorial integrity,” according to a post on X.
