Emirates and the Saudi Tourism Authority signed a memorandum of understanding today on boosting Saudi tourism.

Under the agreement, the authority and the Dubai-based airline will explore opportunities to enhance Saudi Arabia’s “global tourism competitiveness,” using  Emirates’ large flight network to bring more tourists to the kingdom. The cooperation will include efforts to align flight schedules from Emirates’ main source markets to make them conducive to Saudi inbound travel, Emirates said in a press release.

“We’re proud to strategically partner with the Saudi Tourism Authority and support its efforts to unlock the immense potential and attractions of the Kingdom’s vibrant culture, heritage and stunning biodiversity to the world,” said Emirates president Tim Clark.

Emirates flies to around 120 destinations on all continents from its hub in Dubai. In Saudi Arabia, the airline has flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina and Dammam.
