Oil tops $100 as Iran war widens

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels stepped up their attacks on Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, targeting four of the country’s southern cities and oil facilities.

The Iran war opened new fronts this week, and oil prices rose over $100 for the first time since July as there continued to be no truce in sight. Meanwhile, France and 11 other countries moved to ban the trade of goods from Jewish settlements in the West Bank after violence in the occupied territory flared up over the weekend.
