As Eid al-Adha celebrations unfold across the region this week, the US-Iran war still appears far from a lasting resolution. Brent crude briefly fell below $95 a barrel on Wednesday following reports that Iran would restore safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz as part of a peace deal with the United States, claims the White House was quick to play down. Iran also partially restored internet access this week, following an almost three-month-long digital blackout.
