Northeast Syria announces Captagon bust following Syrian FM's Saudi visit

Syria and Saudi Arabia recently pledged to work together on combating drug trafficking.

Authorities in autonomous northeast Syria made a major Captagon bust on Thursday. The news follows the Syrian government pledging to work with Saudi Arabia on stopping drug trafficking. 

Syria’s official news outlet SANA reported that an unnamed security force seized hundreds of kilograms of Captagon pills hidden in a fuel tank outside the city of Qamishli. One suspected drug trafficker was arrested.
