Kuwaiti emir dead at 91

Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah has died in a US hospital, according to Kuwaiti state television.

The emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah, died on Tuesday in a Minneapolis hospital, Kuwait's government announced.

Kuwaiti state television broke to Quranic verses Tuesday before announcing the emir's death. He was 91 years old.
