Moroccan authorities' grip on human rights is tightening and choking off freedom, say several observers following conditions there.
The government is moving forward with its campaign against Al Adl Wal Ihsane (Justice and Spirituality), one of Morocco’s largest Islamist associations. The group is one of many that supported the February 20 Movement in 2011 in light of the Arab Spring. However, authorities have not licensed the association to carry out its activities and have even sealed off the homes of some members.
