Washington, DC

US President Joe Biden will take his first trip to the Middle East as president in mid July.

After first meeting with officials in Israel and the West Bank, he'll then travel to the Saudi city of Jeddah to attend a summit of nine leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council plus Egypt, Iraq and Jordan.

Al-Monitor's Israel Columnist Ben Caspit and Palestine Columnist Daoud Kuttab, alongside our Pentagon Correspondent Jared Szuba and State Department Correspondent Elizabeth Hagedorn, will join Andrew Parasiliti to break down the trip from all angles to measure its impact, implications, and what to expect once Biden returns to Washington.
